True, there would be tax revenue but you are just hurting people in your community by adding another tax on something. You pay more taxes to get more of the same. Added money into the pool you already give will not change much of anything and people will still find ways to grow it, illegally and pay no taxes for it (and I am not against that either). The system has to change, not taxing people further and further to keep a system that is unsustainable (capitalism).
